Patient came to us with the gangrene of the great toe. We did CT angiography which showed complete occlusion of the popliteal artery and distal flow only in the single vessel through collaterals. He was diagnosed with Buerger’s Disease.
We did right common femoral to posterior tibial artery distal bypass ( SFA – PTA) followed by Transmetatarsal amputation of right foot. The large wound subsequently healed with multiple VAC dressings.
